How events can change the way people think

Have you ever had an event in your life change the way you think about something? In "The Handsomest Drowned Man In The World" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez displays how particular events can change the way people think, and judge things. Have you ever thought back to something that changed how you felt about certain things? You may not remember the event, or you just heard it from others;however, it changed the way you feel about certain issues. What about the emotions that others feel? Have you ever thought how things may affect them?

In "The Most Handsomest Drowned Man In The World" a drowned man that washed up from no where changed every one in, and around the villages ways of thinking. This man who happened to wash up to the village one day changed everything for that village and the neighboring villages. The man was bigger, taller, and more handsome than they had ever seen. He was an Esteban as they called him. This mans death changed everything for them. They considered his feelings because even dead he couldn't escape the pain of his larger, and better looking exterior. They had realized that he had to enter doors sideways, lean against walls instead of sitting, fear he would break chairs or even through the floor, and he would hit ceiling beams with his head. After they realized this they started making doors wider, sturdy chairs and floors, and higher ceilings.

We all have certain events that have happened to us or that we've heard that changed the way we think and feel. In this article a mans death changed many things for these villages and their people. How large this man changed the way they built things so no one has to go through what he had to endure. They also planted flowers on the cliffs, so everyone would know its Estebans village. Something as a death, which is negative, to a positive where they would accept and build to suit others that were like him. We all have events that we lived through or heard of that changed us in someway.

As people we're very selfish and usually dont care about others feelings. Honestly, when did you stop and think I wonder how thaat affected that person? Probably very seldom, and if you did it was just for a bried second you didn't sit and ponder the thought. We often should give others feelings more of a thought; not just our own. We usually don't ever think about it enough to be like if I were in that sitaution I would feel like this. For example; if the village people had ever stopped to think about how someone like Esteban felt when he would break chairs, they would have made them way more sturdy. We often need to put the way we make others feel before ourselves because the way we make others feel shows what kind of person you are. You don't want to be known as someone who doesn't care about others and likes to hurt people. No one wants to have that kind of character trait follow them around; therefore, we should consider the feelings of others as well as our own.

In "The Most Handsomest Drowned Man" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez the death of a man changed the way people think and feel. We should remember the things that changed the way we feel about things. We also need to learn to take in consideration the way others feel. You never truly know how something affects someone else till you're put in a situation thats equivalent to the one they were in.
