Everything happens for a reason is what I've always lived my life by. If this weren't true I wouldn't be who I am today or where I am today. Everything changes whether it be good or bad it happens for a reason.
When I was younger we lived on a farm in a small town in Mississippi. It was an itty bitty town literally in the middle of no where. One chilly day my dad came in late from the field and told us we were moving. Not knowing just yet that I would be hearing that phrase quite often. So, we started packing and moved to another itty bitty famous Mississippi small town.
We lived in a beautiful, antebellum home on the outskirts of this small town. That house forever holding a special spot in my memory; however, the house being so sweet and typically southern it was very old. In that house we had room to run around, play, and enjoy growing up. As children we obviously thought we were going to live there forever because it was perfect to us. We had room to roam, climb trees, and just be happy kids. We lived there for a while and I loved every minute of it. Then, it was time to move again.
I'll skip around my story and just say a few moves later we traded in Mississippi for Arkansas. We started our new Arkansas story in Marked Tree at first. I enjoyed it because I met one of my life long best friends there who just happened to be my neighbor. We were only nine then and we still talk to this day. He will always be one of my best friends who I can go to anything with. Then, after living there for about a year or so my dad came home with his now famously known phrase "We're moving again."
We moved to a town that will forever hold a place with me. We moved to Jonesboro in the cutest little house in the middle of town. I went to a great school, got to play my favorite sport there, and I met the people who forever impacted my life and will always be my family. We lived in Jonesboro for what seemed like forever and I never wanted to leave. We were all happy and enjoyed it. I loved Nettleton, I loved my friends, I loved playing volleyball with my best friends, and I just loved being there. Then after living there for almost six years and starting high school with my friends my dad gave me the heartbreaking news. He came home with this down look on his face and said he didn't know how to tell me this but we were moving again. So, I had to pack up my entire life and move again.
Now we're to present day. Happily residing in Marion. I'm glad for all the moves we made along the way because without them I wouldn't be who I am today and I wouldn't be standing where I am today. I wouldn't have some of these amazing people in my life who I have today. I'm thankful for the people who have walked in my life since I moved here, they have forever impacted me in ways I never thought possible. In my short time here we've gone through a lot together and I know I can always count on these people for anything. I've made a family out of my friends here and I wouldn't replace them for the world. I would make the moves all over again to get here. That's why I believe everything happens for a reason.
